Psychology is such an important field because it is one which explores the depths of human minds and emotions. It helps us to understand who we are as people and, on many occasions, to understand how to solve various issues we as human beings or societies may be experiencing. Psychology is not something that just comes easy—you are not born with the ability to be a great psychologist. Rather, it takes years of education and formal training. Michael Civin is an individual who undertook those many years of educational and training in order to become a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State.

Michael Civin is a psychologist who has practiced in the science and excelled in the academics of the field. In this sense he is multi-disciplinary, although many psychologists are. Michael Civin received his A.B. from Harvard College when he graduated from that institution in 1968 with cum laude honors. From 1968 until 1969, Michael Civin attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 1988 Michael Civin was able to obtain his Ph.D. from Adelphi University. In 1993, he obtained his Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.

Michael Civin also runs his own private practice, though. This private practice serves clients based in Manhattan, Astoria, and Bayville. This private practice has been active since 2007.
